A loud pop rang in the distance, followed by gunfire and screams, then silence."They'll come for you next," Uring said.
Lane pulled the Glock out of his waistband and placed it on the bar.
"A man of your ... talents ... shouldn't be so stupid," Uring said. "They'll kill you if you resist."
"They'll kill me if I don't."
